Classification of Church Parish

Parish parish is the designation for the lowest administrative level in ecclesiastical divisions where the population must be able to apply to the same church (parish church), and where there must be a separate parish council according to the Church Ordinance for the Church of Norway.

Church Parish 2022

The diocesan council of Bjørgvin decided to change the name of Stamnes parish to Stamnes and Eidsland parish. The diocesan council of Borg decided to change the name of Varteig parish to Varteig and Hafslundsøy parish.
