Marital status 1993

This classification of marital status has been used in the population statistics from 1993. 1. januar 2009 the Marriage Act was changed to allow same-sex marriages. At the same time the possibility to enter into registred partnership was cancelled. Those who already are registred as partners, may continue as registred partners or have their partnership converted into marriage. Because of this all marital status codes will still be valid.
